The Women’s Rights Unit of ActionAid Nigeria has formally launched the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project with the participation of the Young Urban Women Movement.
The RWVL Project is a powerful initiative designed to strengthen women’s participation, amplify their voices, and champion leadership in shaping a more just and equal society. It seeks to build a movement that ensures no woman is left behind, especially marginalised and grassroots women.
The launch took place on August 28, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, bringing together advocates, activists, and stakeholders committed to advancing gender equality in Nigeria.
ActionAid Nigeria, a member of the global ActionAid International Federation operating in 70 countries, is dedicated to achieving social justice, promoting gender equality, and eradicating poverty.
The project will amplify diverse voices and influence policies and practices that uphold women’s rights. The launch provided an opportunity to share the project’s vision, strengthen collective action, and rally support for advancing women’s leadership across all levels of society in Nigeria.
