Summary

NAPTIP has declared singer Speed Darlington wanted for reported offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. This comes after he failed to appear for questioning over a viral video in which he confessed to having sex with a minor.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over reported offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

Recall on May 27, 2025 the singer, Speed Darlignton, confessed to raping a 15-year-old girl. He shared that he had to pay a hotel staff N2,000 to clean blood stains from a bedsheet after his sexual violence.

NAPTIP initially issued an invitation for questioning, which the singer reportedly declined to honour. After he suggested a later date, the agency rejected the proposal, citing the urgency and importance of the matter.

Speed Darlington was subsequently given a final opportunity to appear before NAPTIP on June 2, 2025. His failure to do so led to the formal declaration that he is wanted.

In a statement on its official X page on June 27, 2025, the agency announced that the declaration follows the singer’s repeated failure to respond to official summons for questioning.

“Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately,” the agency stated.

Authorities are urging the public to provide any useful information regarding his location.
