Another Nigerian Pastor, Chris Enoch, Murders Wife, Buries her in Shallow Grave

Summary

Days after Pastor David Favour was indicted for poisoning his wife to death, another Nigerian pastor, Chris Enoch,  founder of Omega World Global Ministries, has been arrested for the murder of his partner. Various incidents of male violence against women and girls continue to grow in Nigeria.

A pastor identified as Chris Enoch, the founder of Omega World Global Ministries, has murdered and buried his wife, Patience Enoch, in a shallow grave at their residence in a village called Ikot Ataku, Okon, in Eket Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom state.

According to the statement of the deceased’s children, the couple have been having issues, and Enoch always accused Patience of his woes and threatened to kill her.

On the day of the gruesome murder, the couple had their differences as usual, and Enoch sent the children away. After the fight, the children complained of not seeing their mother, which raised alarm in the community.

Upon a thorough search of Enoch’s residence by the community youths. They discovered the shallow grave of Patience Enoch, where she was buried. Upon investigations, Enoch confessed to having murdered her on the day of their last fight, making it seven days to her death.

Enoch is currently held at the police station awaiting prosecution. Recently, NFM covered a story of Pastor David Favour, who poisoned his wife to death. Other incidents of men’s violence against their family members have been covered here and here, underscoring the growing rate of femicide in Nigeria.
