A Nigerian-Lebanese woman has expressed anger over persistent violence, rape, and victim-blaming occurring in Nigeria on October 1, 2025. On X, a user with the handle @lilacandpinkk said women in Nigeria continue to face sexual violence and killings while perpetrators receive praise.

ā€œWomen are raped, murdered, and silenced daily; while rapists are praised and survivors shamed,ā€ she wrote.

She added that feminism is still treated as an insult in 2025, with advocates branded as evil witches and whores. She further condemned the culture of victim-blaming, noting that society often blames women for their own deaths while families grieve.

ā€œWe continue to pray for light while burying our daughters and blaming them for their own death,ā€ the tweet read.

She stated that women cannot rely on so-called protectors who sometimes commit violence themselves. ā€œHow can they save us when they kill us?ā€ she asked.
