Ayra Starr Becomes First Nigerian Artist to Top Vietnam’s iTunes Chart 

Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr has become the first Nigerian artist to reach No. 1 on the Vietnam iTunes Top Songs Chart as her latest single, “Tornado,” climbed to the top of the chart.

The achievement adds to a series of global records for the singer, who has emerged as one of Africa’s most commercially successful artists in recent years. 

Ayra Starr has built a strong international audience through hit songs including “Rush,” “Bloody Samaritan,” and “Commas.”

The Vietnam chart milestone reflects the continued expansion of Afrobeats into new markets across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, where Nigerian artists have increasingly gained mainstream recognition.
