Ayra Starr received nominations in three major categories: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best New Artist, and Best International Act.
Her triple nod places her ahead of other African acts and cements her rising status on the global music stage, further signaling Afrobeats’ ongoing global influence.
In the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist category, Ayra Starr will be competing against some of the genre’s leading voices, including Ari Lennox, Coco Jones, Kehlani, Muni Long, Summer Walker, SZA, and Victoria Monét.
For Best New Artist, she’s nominated alongside 41, BigXthaPlug, BossMan Dlow, Dee Billz, Leon Thomas, October London, Shaboozey, and Teddy Swims.
In the Best International Act category, Ayra faces competition from a diverse lineup of global talent, including Any Gabrielly, Bashy, Black Sherif, Ezra Collective, Joé Dwét Filé, Mc Luanna, Rema, SDM, Tyla, and Uncle Waffles.
