Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Thelma Lawson, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos State Government House last week.
The meeting, held at the Lagos State Government House, focused on the role of digital creators in shaping public perception and promoting positive narratives. Governor Sanwo-Olu urged influencers to use their platforms to support social impact, civic engagement, and youth development.
Thelma shared highlights of the meeting on October 16, 2025, and said the governor’s message on intentional storytelling and responsible digital influence truly resonated with her.
“In a time where social media shapes perceptions and possibilities, it’s refreshing to see leadership that values intentional storytelling and responsible digital influence,” she wrote.
During the visit, Thelma met a secondary school student named Sharon, who is contesting for Head Girl in her school.
“We had a lovely chat about leadership, and I told her how I once served as Head Girl too. It was a wholesome reminder that impact starts from the smallest spaces and that the next generation is always watching, learning, and daring to lead,” Thelma said.
The courtesy visit came ahead of the Bodex Social Media Hangout 6.0 in Lagos. The annual event, themed “Social Media & A.I. Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services & the Society,” will focus on how technology and online platforms can be used to drive social change.
Thelma said the governor’s engagement encouraged her to continue using her platforms to influence with purpose, authenticity, and heart.:
