Nollywood veteran actress Bukky Wright, renowned for her role in "Omotara Johnson," has returned to the film industry after a nearly two-decade absence.

Bukky Wright, one of the celebrated Yoruba actors and screen Queens in Nollywood, has announced her official return to the Nigerian film industry after nearly two decades of hiatus.

Known for her outstanding movie Omotara Johnson and excellent acting performance, the veteran 57-year-old actress makes her official comeback appearance in Something About The Briggs. Bukky Wright will play Bimbola’s Mom, and the movie will premiere in the cinema on Friday, January 31st, 2025.

Speaking on the comeback and her role in the much-anticipated movie, Bukky said, “It felt really good. It actually gave me the opportunity to see all these people again. I haven’t seen them in years.”

The veteran actress has received positive reactions from fans and co-actors in the Nigerian movie industry, many of whom said they would like to see her on-screen again.
