The award recognises her outstanding save during Brighton & Hove Albion’s 1–1 draw against Liverpool, where she acrobatically tipped Fuka Nagano’s long-range strike onto the crossbar.

The save, widely praised as one of the best of the season, showcased her quick reflexes and technical brilliance, further reinforcing her growing reputation in the league. Chiamaka had earlier been announced as the winner after beating competition from Sabrina D’Angelo, Faye Kirby, and Ayaka Yamashita.

The recognition adds to an impressive run for the 2025 CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, who has continued to stand out since joining Brighton, earning acclaim for her consistency, leadership, and shot-stopping ability.
