Chika Ike has firmly denied rumours that Ned Nwoko is the father of her child, calling the claims baseless and emphasising her right to privacy.
Nollywood actress Chika Ike has strongly refuted rumours claiming that billionaire politician Ned Nwoko is the father of her child.
In a statement on her official Facebook account, Chika Ike dismissed the speculation as baseless, emphasising that she values her privacy and chooses what aspects of her life to share with the public.
“There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are, Rumours That Needed No Response. But this is different, this is about my Child,” she wrote.
She made it clear that Ned Nwoko is not the father of her child and firmly rejected claims that she was set to become his seventh wife.
“I’ve been pregnant for months now, and no one even had a clue about my pregnancy until I announced it, and you all think you’ll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and Clueless! ” she added.
The rumours surfaced after Chika Ike announced her pregnancy with maternity photos on Instagram, sparking claims that she had been in a relationship with Ned Nwoko for years, even before he married actress Regina Daniels. Speculation intensified when Regina Daniels unexpectedly deactivated her Instagram account, leading social media users to believe she was reacting to the news.
Social media reactions were divided, with some mocking Regina Daniels for reportedly deactivating her Instagram due to the rumours.
One user, @JustEniola01 wrote on X,
“Regina is so mad that she had to deactivate her Instagram account. Maybe he told her that she’s his last wife, and she fell for it.”
Others speculated that Chika Ike had been with Nwoko before Daniels, with @ChinazaAwadike commenting,
“Why is Regina Daniels running? Na by deactivating Instagram account? Anyways, her mum will come and cry on the internet soon..”
In response, Ned Nwoko’s office also released an official statement debunking the claims, describing them as “entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”
Despite the growing social media frenzy, Chika Ike reaffirmed her commitment to protecting her peace and privacy.
“I don’t care about rumours because I understand they come with my career. The only reason I’m responding is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace, and NO ONE can unsettle me,” she declared.
Chika Ike’s statement ended the speculation, making it clear that she would not be drawn into rumours surrounding her personal life.
