Debbie Shokoya revealed that she had been struggling with low views on her YouTube release and felt a strong urge to reach out to Akindele for help. Summoning the courage, she sent a direct message explaining her situation, and to her surprise, Funke responded immediately and posted the movie on her page to show support.
In an emotional Instagram post, Debbie described Funke’s gesture as “comforting water” to her soul and urged fans to pray for the actress.
“This is actually the least you have done towards me, but I promise not to cast it. God bless you, ma! Keep motivating and inspiring,” she wrote.
Responding in the comments, Funke Akindele encouraged Debbie Shokoya to persevere in her craft, saying,
