Popular actress, Philanthropist and Special Adviser to the Speaker, House of Reps on Social Events and Public Hearing, Eniola Badmus reaffirmed her commitment to the Shogunle community during her Corporate Social Responsibility outreach event, “Feed the Needy,” held on January 2nd at Temidire Primary School, Oshodi, Lagos.
Organised in collaboration with Seyi Tinubu, the seventh edition of the initiative aimed to support underserved residents. Attendees, including community members and local leaders, gathered to benefit from the event and celebrate Eniola’s generosity.
In an emotional address, captured in a video shared online, Eniola shared that this year’s outreach will expand beyond empowerment to include medical checkups, illness interventions, and scholarships for children. She emphasised the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and mentioned that food, monetary items, and other resources would be distributed. She extended her gratitude to the event’s partners, including Rite Foods, First Peak Milk, and others, for their support in making the outreach a success.
Eniola Badmus also shared her deep roots in Shogunle, citing her father’s legacy as a two-time community counsellor.
“My father’s compound is at No. 1, Fabukade Street. He instilled in me a love for our people and the importance of service,” she said.
She expressed gratitude for the community’s unwavering support and requested prayers for more opportunities to serve.
“With God and prayers by my side, I will continue to work with you to achieve a brighter tomorrow,” Eniola added.
Before concluding, she called for a moment of silent prayer to honour her late father, whose values continue to inspire her philanthropic work.
