Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has lauded Nigerian celebrity Chef, Hilda Baci, on her new feat as the new holder of the World’s largest pot of jollof rice.

In her congratulatory message issued as a press statement on Oct 16, 2025,  Senator Oluremi praised Chef Hilda’s culinary techniques as a pride that had gained national and global recognition. She described her feat as a testament to what young women can accomplish if they are driven by determination, innovation, and hard work.

“Your passion, resilience, and creativity in showcasing your craft as a celebrity Chef of one of Nigeria’s most loved dishes on the global stage are inspiring. Your art of culinary techniques has not only brought pride to our dear nation, but has gained national and global recognition,” part of the congratulatory message reads.

Recalled that Chef Hilda cooked the world’s largest pot of jollof rice that fed over ten thousand people on Friday, Sep. 12, 2025. Consequently, she was officially recognised by the Guinness World Records.

Before her new feat, Chef Hilda broke the world record for a cooking marathon in 2023. She cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes. Since then, she has been acclaimed as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs and a global icon.
