Summary

Nancy Sabanti Nathan has been appointed Acting Head of Service for the Federal Capital Territory Administration, following the death of her predecessor, Grace Adayilo. She brings extensive experience from her previous roles as Permanent Secretary at the Youth Development Secretariat and Director of Finance and Administration in the FCT Minister’s office.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the appointment of Ms. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as the Acting Head of Service, following the death of her predecessor, Ms. Grace Adayilo

She was appointed in an acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, on September 9 2025. 

“The FCTA congratulates Ms. Nancy Sabanti Nathan on her appointment as Acting Head of Service and wishes her success in this new role,” the statement reads. “We remember the invaluable contributions of Ms. Grace Adayilo to the FCTA and mourn her loss,” the statement added.

Until her appointment by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Ms. Nancy Sabanti Nathan served as the Permanent Secretary at the Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA. She also previously held the position of Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of FCT before being appointed Permanent Secretary.

Her appointment as Acting Head of Service takes immediate effect.
