National Conference for Domestic and Eco-Tourism Set to Host 5th Edition in Abuja

Summary: The 5th National Conference for Domestic and Eco-Tourism will take place on July 28–29, 2026, in Abuja, bringing together stakeholders to promote Nigeria’s tourism, culture, sustainability and youth empowerment.

The National Conference for Domestic and Eco-Tourism (NCDET) is a flagship Nigerian event organised by Everything Hospitality and Tourism Services Nig Ltd. It is set to hold its 5th edition on July 28 and 29, 2026, at the NICON Luxury Hotels, Abuja.

NCDET is dedicated to boosting Nigeria’s tourism sector by promoting cultural heritage, eco-tourism and sustainable practices, while empowering youth and local businesses. 

The conference provides a platform for stakeholders, government officials, entrepreneurs and innovators to discuss strategies for leveraging Nigeria’s unique heritage to drive economic growth and sustainable development.

The conference is both a national and international platform, aimed at advancing domestic (indigenous) and eco-tourism development as key drivers of sustainable economic growth, environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and national unity. It brings together tourism advocates, industry professionals, policymakers, investors, academics, security agencies, development partners and students from Nigeria, Africa and the global tourism community. 

The 2026 edition is expected to host at least 500 participants from Local Government Areas, states and relevant stakeholder groups. It will feature high-level policy and technical discussions, alongside panel sessions and presentations of opinion papers. Attendees will have opportunities for Business-to-Business (B2B) networking and to explore exhibitions showcasing tourism destinations, innovations, and cultural assets. In addition, youth and students will be actively engaged in advocacy and initiatives to promote domestic and eco-tourism.
