Super Falcons star Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth-best female goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards. This recognition places her among the best in women’s football.

  1. Nigerian Man Adetomiwa Seun Sentenced in U.S. for $1.6m Romance Scam

A 37-year-old Nigerian man, Adetomiwa Seun Akindele, has been sentenced to 71 months in a U.S. federal prison for a $1.6 million romance scam that targeted a Colorado widow. The case was presided over by United States District Judge Charlotte N. Sweeney, with the FBI Denver Field Office leading the investigation.

  1. Minister of Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, Honoured with Chieftaincy Title

The Minister of State for Finance, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, has been conferred with the prestigious Ada Ukwu Ndi Orlu chieftaincy title by His Imperial Majesty, Eze (Dr.) Thomas Obiwuru Obiefule, Paramount Ruler of Umudioka Ancient Kingdom in Imo State, is being recognised for her outstanding contributions to peace, progress, and development.
