Summary: Naija Feminists Media (NFM) reporter and communication strategist, Joy Oke, has been selected for the Journalism for Liberty Journalism fellowship 2026. 

Joy Funmilola Oke, Naija Feminists Media (NFM) reporter and communication strategist, has been selected for the Journalism for Liberty Journalism fellowship 2026. She will receive comprehensive journalism training alongside 29 fellows. 

The Journalism for Liberty Fellowship is an annual programme hosted by the Liberalist Centre. The fellowship is a fully virtual 3-month training designed to empower aspiring, early, and mid-career journalists in Africa to champion liberty-driven narratives. Fellows are selected based on their interest in advancing individual freedom, free markets, and limited government. The programme equips participants with essential tools to shape societal narratives through pro-freedom reporting.

For this year’s fellowship, the media professionals will be trained in investigative reporting, op-ed, podcasting, and digital storytelling. They will also receive a story grant and certificate of participation at the end of the training.
