August is here, and it is Naija Feminists Media’s commemorative month of powering feminist journalism and advocacy in Nigeria! In her second year, Naija Feminists Media (NFM) didn’t just report news; we turned headlines into action and advocacy into community. From rooms in Agege where 500 girls reclaimed their dignity during Menstrual Hygiene Month, to policy rooms in Abidjan where we demanded feminist governance of AI to stop tech-enabled harm, our second year was about moving feminist advocacy from conversation to action. We collaborated with local partners to train women to break through recruitment barriers and re-enter the workforce with confidence, took bold feminist conversations to podcasts and radio to dismantle myths, and met Lagos teens in their schools to teach them how to navigate the internet safely and powerfully. These campaigns weren’t side projects. They are the story of NFM’s second year: bold, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that dignity, equality, and justice are non-negotiable — online, in school, at work, and everywhere in between.

The campaigns that shaped Naija Feminists Media in her 2nd year prove one thing: feminist media is not just about telling stories; it’s about changing them. They are proof that when feminist media leads, girls stay in school, women get hired, AI gets questioned, and the internet gets safer. This is year two. And we are just getting started.
