Summary
Temiloluwa Olufemi has been called out for raping a lady on her birthday three years ago. The survivor states that she has since suffered various anxiety attacks and suicidal thoughts among others.
A man identified as Temiloluwa Olufemi has been called out for rape, a sexual violence reported to have occurred in Dec. 2021.
“For three years, I have experienced the worst mental breakdowns, crash-outs, delusions—please name it. Living, knowing I was violated because that dirty bastard couldn’t take no for an answer, has affected me in ways that even I get tired of,” the survivor tweeted.
She also shared the difficulty of living with the trauma, describing how simple triggers, such as the sound of doors shutting, would lead to intense emotional breakdowns.
“I had an entire season where hearing doors shut sent me spiralling. I’d burst into tears and have a full-on meltdown,” she said.
In another thread, the survivor went into detail about how the abuse happened.
“The only reason I ended up at this apartment was because I kept needing to pee & there were too many men at my house – I was drunk, I didn’t feel the safest visiting the bathroom multiple times there, so I went to theirs.”
She further attached a video evidence in the thread where he admitted sexually abusing her. Temiloluwa, however, claimed that he was “jumped by twelve men and coerced to make the video” and said, “if e sure for you abeg involve police, whether na Cyprus or Nigeria police.”
“This foolish proof that you’re asking for when a woman gets raped is so appalling to me. What does proof look like? Do you expect that she would have set up a ring light to capture the event? What exactly is proof?” a commentator said.
Addressing the common question, “Why are you just speaking up now?” the survivor said, “Me too, I don’t know. So don’t ask me any foolish question because I won’t hold back from cursing your daddy.”
She added, “December used to be the month I looked forward to most. It now became the one month I dreaded approaching.”
This incident occurs amid ongoing global conversations about the importance of supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and dismantling societal structures that enable male violence against women.
