She also emphasised that the establishment of a physical trade office in Nigeria was long overdue and praised the strengthening ties between both nations.
Vice President Shettima, who visited the Crown Princess at the Royal Palace in Stockholm last October, described her visit as a significant step toward deeper institutional relations and greater cultural exchange.
“This visit is not only a continuation of dialogue but a new chapter for both nations,” he noted.
The visit also includes meetings with Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and the Governor of Lagos State, showing the importance of political and regional engagement in the growing relationship between Sweden and Nigeria.
The three-day visit, which runs from April 7 to 9, 2025, reflects a shared commitment to expand cooperation in areas such as sustainable development, trade, gender equality, and cultural exchange.
