Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in prison, fined $500,000, and placed on five years of supervised release after being convicted on two counts of transporting women for prostitution.
He was convicted on July 2, 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a high-profile federal trial in New York.
The sentencing, delivered by a Manhattan federal judge on October 3, 2025, followed Sean “Diddy”’ eight-week trial, where he was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, which could have carried a life sentence.
His attorneys had argued for a 14-month sentence, equal to time served, citing his efforts at reform after spending over a year in a New York jail. Prosecutors, however, sought more than 11 years, referencing his history of domestic violence.
Before sentencing, Combs apologised in court, calling his actions “sick” and begged for mercy, while his six eldest children tearfully appealed to the judge for leniency.
“The exploitation and violence against women must be met with real accountability to promote respect for the law,” the judge said while announcing the sentence.
Sean “Diddy” Combs will receive credit for time already served since his September 2024 detention.
