Summary

Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, a Former Senator of Lagos State and the current First Lady of Nigeria, donated 60,000 professional kits to Midwives across the country's six geopolitical zones.

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, donated 60,000 professional kits to midwives in six geopolitical zones on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

To improve efficiency in the health sector, Oluremi, through her donor-funded NGO, Hope Renewed Initiative, distributed 60,000 professional kits to front-line medical workers in Nigeria.

Speaking in Ilorin, where she presented the kits to the midwives in North Central Zone, Oluremi Tinubu emphasised the importance of the capacity building.

“No fewer than 54,346 health workers have completed their training. That is why RHI procured 60,000 kits as an incentive to encourage and support the tireless dedication of our midwives. All six geopolitical zones will be receiving 10,000 Crocs and 10,000 scrubs to be shared among the states in each zone.”

This initiative is among the many steps Senator Oluremi Tinubu has taken to contribute to the welfare of Nigerians.
