Senator Oluremi granted N50,000 each to 500 women traders in Plateau state. This initiative is part of her commitment to empower Nigerian women for inclusive growth and national prosperity.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, has granted N50,000 each to 500 female traders in Plateau state. This is in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation to boost women’s businesses.
According to her, this initiative aimed to support the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerian women who work tirelessly to provide for their families, educate their children, and uplift the community.
Recalled that Senator Oluremi has earlier granted N50,000 to 500 women entrepreneurs each in Enugu state to boost their businesses. She hinted that 500 women, each from 36 states across the nation, including FCT, will be empowered with N50,000.
She described the initiative as a practical step to strengthen the economic foundation of households and promote national development. Its purpose is to boost the capacity of women traders and small-scale business owners across the country.
She emphasised that the grant is not a loan, but a grant designed to help women who are small business owners. She noted that the initiative is one of the many keys to achieving inclusive growth and long-term national prosperity.
“When you empower a woman, you empower a household, a community, and indeed, a nation,” she said.
