To celebrate female trailblazers and inspire others to unlock their full potential, SheCan Nigeria held its annual glam conference on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
This conference is a dedicated movement aimed at equipping women with the skills, mentorship, and network to unlock their full potential. Through these annual events, SheCan spotlights and honours ‘First’ women venturing into uncharted fields while inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
Themed “SheCan Do More: The Woman in Her Power,” the event had over 7,000 attendees and speakers from across the country. The conference focused on three pillars: educate, empower, and transform. The three-panel sessions centred on purpose discovery, business, career growth, family, wellness, and mental health.
Speaking at the event, the keynote speaker, Dr. Stella Okoli, who doubled as the GMD and CEO of Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, urged the attendees to let go of their fears and embrace their abilities.
“You will never know the ability you have if you don’t try. Start today, even if you are afraid,” she said.
Bunmi George, another expert in the wellness and fitness field, encouraged the attendees to align purpose and clarity with their goals. She reminded them that understanding their purpose is deeply rooted in their identity.
She said, “It’s not enough to admire people out there. You can be who you want to be.”
The conference also featured mentorship clinics, one-to-one consultation with industry experts, networking sessions, and laughter vibes from invited artists.
Three female entrepreneurs received business grants of N2 million each through a pre-event pitching competition, for which they were shortlisted as part of the conference’s aim to empower women.
