Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has signed up for Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer from the French club Paris FC.
The English Women’s Super League side announced the signing on June 27, 2025, via their official X page and website. She is expected to officially join the team on July 1, 2025, following the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.
Chiamaka Nnadozie enjoyed a remarkable stint with Paris FC, making 118 appearances since joining from Nigerian club Rivers Angels in January 2020. Her standout performances include saving two penalties in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final against Paris Saint-Germain to secure the trophy for Paris FC.
Widely regarded as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers, Chiamaka Nnadozie is a two-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year. She also made 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances between 2022 and 2025, and in 2024, she became the first African player to win the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season award. She also claimed the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper of the Season honour that same year.
Since making her senior debut in 2018 against France, Chiamaka has earned 55 caps for Nigeria on the international stage. She previously played for the national team at the U-17 and U-20 levels.
Her move to Brighton marks a significant step forward in her career and joins the rising number of Nigerian players making their mark in top European leagues.
