Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has debunked claims that she avoids working with female artists. She shared proof of her numerous collaborations to counter what she described as false narratives.

Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has responded to claims that she avoids collaborating with fellow female artists. The singer countered the narrative with proof of her extensive work alongside women in the industry.

Appearing on the OffAir with Gbemi & Toolz podcast, Tiwa dismissed the rumours as “hurtful” and “false,” insisting she has never refused or blocked collaborations with other women in the industry. She challenged critics to name any female artist she has deliberately sabotaged.

Following the interview, Tiwa reinforced her point on social media. On October 14, 2025, she shared a collage on her Instagram Stories titled “Tiwa Savage and the queens she’s collaborated with.”

She showcased cover art from twelve different projects featuring her work with female musicians across Africa: Collaborations with Ayra Starr on Stamina and Gara, Waje on Onye and All Day, Simi on Men Are Crazy, Asa on Emotions, Efya on The One, and Amaarae on Tales by Moonlight. Other featured artists included Becca, Wavy The Creator, MzVee, and Di’Ja.

Further addressing the rumour, she states, “Please, where are those people who set ring light to spread false narratives? And how many of these beautiful records have they helped us to promote?”

Tiwa Savage challenged the narrative that puts women in music against one another. Her post serves as a reminder of her contributions to uplifting other female artists and a call for unity among women in the African music industry.
