UNILORIN First Class Graduate Secures Master’s Education Support from Bukola Saraki

Blessing Oluwafikayo Adisa, a First Class Mathematics graduate of the University of Ilorin, has received support from Senate President Bukola Saraki after securing a funded Master’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Calabria.

Blessing graduated from the University of Ilorin with a 4.76/5.0 CGPA. She shared online that she had been awarded a fully funded scholarship for postgraduate study in Italy, describing the admission as a major step in a journey shaped by years of academic work.

However, she explained that she still needed support to cover the outstanding cost of relocating before the programme began, hence asking Nigerians to donate the outstanding amount of €3122 euros to her.

“Help Make My Scholarship Dream Come True,” Blessing said.

Her call for donations was noticed by former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who said he would cover the remaining relocation costs. In his response, Saraki described Adisa’s academic record and scholarship as an achievement that should not be limited by the cost of getting to Italy.

“No young person who has worked this hard should have such an opportunity limited by the cost of getting there. It would be my privilege to support your journey by covering what is left in the cost of your relocation. Go, excel, and continue to make Nigeria proud,” the former Senate president said.

The development has drawn congratulations for Adisa, whose scholarship was earned through her outstanding academic performance.
