Los Angeles authorities are investigating the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found in a car, Tesla, registered to singer D4vd. The case has also drawn online attention due to a resurfaced song by D4vd, reportedly referencing the teenager.

Los Angeles authorities are investigating the decomposed body of a 15-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, found in a car, Tesla, registered to American singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.

Celeste Rivas, a 13-year-old missing juvenile from Lake Elsinore, California, was reported missing in April 2024, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

The dismembered remains were discovered on September 8, 2025 after Los Angeles police responded to a call about a foul odour coming from an impounded Tesla at Hollywood Tow. Authorities said the vehicle had been abandoned before being towed.

Her mother identified the body after receiving a tip, noting a tattoo on her finger that read “Shhh” as well as jewelry and clothing consistent with her daughter’s description. She was wearing black leggings, a tube top, a metal stud earring, and a yellow metal chain bracelet shaped like a “W.”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office also confirmed the identity of the teenager through forensic analysis but has not yet determined the cause of death.

The case has also drawn attention online after a resurfaced track reportedly by D4vd, titled Celeste_Demo unfin, appeared to reference someone named Celeste.

It was reported that the lyrics included lines such as: “Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed.” The song has since been removed from SoundCloud.

Celeste’s mother told reporters that her daughter had been in a relationship with a boyfriend named David, fueling speculation because of the shared name with the singer.

Although D4vd has not been formally named as a suspect in connection with the death, numerous possible links have emerged between him and Celeste, including matching tattoos, a song named “Celeste,” and alleged photos.

A spokesperson for D4vd said he has been informed of the situation and at the time of the discovery, the singer was on his Withered World Tour, which led to the cancellation of a scheduled performance in Seattle.

Authorities continue to follow several leads and collect new evidence as the investigation unfolds.
