The Visionary African Women Summit 2025 brought together women leaders from across Africa for a landmark gathering focused on empowerment, leadership, and collaboration. Held under the theme “EmpowerHer,” the summit featured inspiring conversations, mentorship, and cultural showcases.Â
The Visionary African Women Summit 2025, organised by the Lilian Ike Foundation, was held from June 16 to 22, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca.
The summit brought together over 300 influential women leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across Africa for a landmark gathering focused on empowerment, collaboration, and leadership.
Under the theme “EmpowerHer,” the summit served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and exchange, featuring high-level plenary sessions, panel discussions, mentorship circles, and cultural exhibitions. It focused on key topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, youth development, mental wellness, financial independence, and policy influence.
Delegates were officially welcomed on June 16 with a networking Cocktail Tea Party, setting a warm and engaging tone for the week-long programme. The summit formally opened on June 18 with a plenary session, followed by high-impact conversations around leadership, entrepreneurship, policy influence, mental wellness, financial independence, innovation, and youth development.
The summit’s pinnacle event was the All-White Visionary Women Award Night, which celebrated and honoured outstanding women who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, and impact within their fields. The award ceremony was a vibrant and memorable evening, marked by music and recognition of women who are shaping Africa’s future.
Founder of the Lilian Ike Foundation and Convener of the Summit, Amb. Dr. Chinwe Lilian, emphasised that the Visionary African Women Summit is more than an event, but a movement.
“It is a call to action for African women to take up space, lead with clarity, and rewrite the narratives for generations to come.”
The Visionary African Women Summit 2025 not only fostered strategic partnerships and connections but also underscored the critical role of women in advancing sustainable development across Africa.
It concluded with a resounding affirmation that when women gather with purpose, the continent moves forward.
