Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has dismissed claims that her recent management deal with Roc Nation includes a clause barring her from having a boyfriend or starting a family.

The rumour began circulating after a podcaster claimed in a widely shared video on X that her five-year contract with Roc Nation prohibited her from being in a romantic relationship or starting a family during the contract period.

Reacting to the video via a quote post, Ayra Starr wrote, “Does Ayra Starr know about this?,” a response that made it clear the report wasn’t true.

Ayra Starr recently signed a five-year management deal with Roc Nation, the global entertainment company founded by American music executive Jay-Z. She also recently released a new single titled Hot Body under Roc Nation’s management.
