Beyoncé has become the most certified female artist in RIAA history with 103 titles, including her first two diamond singles, highlighting her unmatched influence in the music industry.
American singer and songwriter Beyoncé has officially become the most certified female artist of all time by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With 103 certified titles, Beyoncé achieved this milestone after several of her songs recently received new certifications, cementing her influence in the music industry.
The RIAA is a U.S.-based trade organisation that represents the music recording industry. It advocates for recorded music, supports artists and music companies, promotes industry vitality, protects intellectual property, certifies sales milestones, and shapes policies to benefit the music ecosystem.
“Crowning achievement! Congratulations to @Beyonce, who now holds the record for the most certified titles for a female artist in RIAA history, including her first two Diamond singles! @parkwood @columbiarecords,” the RIAA announced in a post on X on Dec 17.
RIAA President and COO Michele Ballantyne added,
“We are so excited to recognise the incredible talent, hard work, and creative spirit reflected across diverse genres. Beyoncé’s iconic catalogue has earned the achievement of the most certified titles for a female artist in RIAA’s history. Congratulations on this crowning milestone, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Columbia Records—and we see you, BeyHive, streaming on repeat!”
Beyoncé’s RIAA certifications underline her dominance. Albums like Dangerously in Love and I Am… Sasha Fierce has been certified 7X Platinum, while BEYONCÉ earned 6X Platinum. Her hit singles “Halo” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” are certified 11X Platinum, while “Crazy in Love,” “Irreplaceable,” and “Drunk in Love” achieved 8X Platinum each. Other notable multi-platinum tracks include “Formation,” “Love on Top,” and “Cuff It,” along with Platinum collaborations like ’03 Bonnie & Clyde’ with Jay-Z. Tracks like “Brown Skin Girl” and “Church Girl” also boast the Gold certifications.
Beyoncé’s latest accomplishment comes on the heels of other significant milestones. In March 2024, she released her acclaimed eighth studio album, COWBOY CARTER, which features 27 songs and has received 11 nominations for the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, the most ever for an album by a female artist. Furthermore, Billboard recently crowned Beyoncé as the greatest pop star of the 21st century, solidifying her status as a global icon.
