Blue Ivy Carter has added another prestigious accolade to her growing list of achievements.
At the NAACP Image Awards pre-show on February 20, 2025, the 13-year-old won the award for Best Voice-Over Performance in a Motion Picture for her role as Princess Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King.
She triumphed over an impressive lineup of nominees, including Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King), Anika Noni Rose (Mufasa: The Lion King), Ayo Edebiri (Inside Out 2), and Lupita Nyong’o (The Wild Robot).
The announcement came during the second installment of the 56th NAACP Image Awards Pre-Awards Show, hosted by Angel “ThatChickAngel” Laketa Moore and Marcus Tanksley. The virtual event, streamed on the NAACP Image Awards YouTube channel, celebrated Black excellence with a mix of culture, comedy, and entertainment.
This marks Blue Ivy’s second NAACP Image Award win, following her 2020 victory for “Brown Skin Girl” from The Lion King: The Gift. She now holds multiple prestigious awards, including three NAACP Image Awards, two Soul Train Awards, two BET Awards, a VMA, and a Grammy.
The celebration continues as the main event of the NAACP Image Awards is set to air live on February 22 from the Pasadena Civic Center in California.
