Summary

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, in collaboration with Kudimata Nig Ltd, is set to train 100,000 Nigerian women in financial literacy. The goal is to empower them with the skills and knowledge to grow their money and manage their businesses.

In fulfilment of its commitment to promoting women’s economic empowerment, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, in collaboration with Kudimata Nig Ltd, is set to train 100,000 Women across Nigeria in financial literacy.

Lack of financial education is a pressing challenge for Nigerian women, despite owning 40% of MSMEs. This challenge manifests in limited access to funding, reliance on personal savings to grow businesses, lack of investments, financial exclusion based on gender, and limited resources to grow their businesses. All these undermine women’s potential and expose their vulnerability while still facing financial constraints.

Thus, the Ministry’s training, “EmpowerHer: Financial literacy,” would equip 100,000 Nigerian women with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to manage their money matters, start, and grow their businesses.

Participants would also be able to take advantage of global certification, mentorship, empowerment opportunities, financial and digital literacy, and peer–to–peer learning. Interested participants are encouraged to register via this link.
