Funke Akindele launches the premiere of her highly anticipated movie, #EverybodyLovesJenifa. The event was filled with numerous Nollywood celebrities gracing the red carpet.
The much-anticipated movie Everybody Loves Jenifa officially premiered on December 8, 2024, at Filmhouse Lekki IMAX in Lagos, Nigeria. Hosted by award-winning filmmaker, actress, and producer Funke Akindele, the event marked the unveiling of her latest film, which will hit cinemas worldwide on December 13.
Directed by Funke Akindele, the movie features an impressive lineup of Nollywood stars, including Bisola Aiyeola, Chimezie Imo, Juliana Olayode, Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Isaac Olayiwola, Falz and Jackie Appiah. The movie continues the beloved “Jenifa’s Diary” television comedy series, which debuted in 2008.
The premiere, themed “Lagos After Party,” was a glamorous and star-studded affair that brought together prominent figures from the entertainment and fashion industries. Hosted by Jay On Air, the event was graced by notable stars, including Patience Ozokwor, Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Odunlade Adekola, and Bisola Aiyeola, making it a truly memorable night.
Adding to the evening’s excitement, Nigerian Afrobeats legend Bisade Ologunde, popularly known as Lagbaja, made a surprise appearance at the after-party. He thrilled the audience with live performances of his classic hits, sparking nostalgia and electrifying the atmosphere.
Speaking at the premiere, Funke Akindele expressed her gratitude:

She also thanked the cast, co-directors, writers, and everyone on the team for their commitment to the movie’s production. Funke Akindele also announced additional screenings for the UK premiere of the movie, which is scheduled for December 20, 2024.
Funke Akindele raised the bar in film promotion with the release of an original soundtrack. The track features prominent artists such as Falz and Waje alongside the film’s cast, further fueling excitement among fans worldwide.
