Nollywood star, actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has achieved another milestone as her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, grossed over N1 billion within three weeks of release. It is now the fastest Nollywood film to hit the N1 billion mark in just 19 days with a cumulative total of ₦1,034,091,220.
The film has dominated the December box office, accounting for about 40% of the total revenue, with 202,604 admissions. Recently, Everybody Loves Jenifa set a new record for the highest-grossing Nollywood opening weekend of all time, earning an impressive N206 million. It set the record for the highest-grossing single-day performance in Nigerian cinema history, raking in a staggering N87.8 million. Also, the film set a new benchmark for opening weekend admissions in 2024, drawing in 38,353 eager viewers.
Funke Akindele expressed her gratitude to fans on X posting,

Internationally, the film has made an impressive $194,560 (approximately N300 million) within just eight days of its international debut, with screenings in the UK, US, Canada, and other regions.
Funke Akindele has now surpassed her own record, as her previous film, A Tribe Called Judah, also broke box office records, becoming the first Nollywood film to gross ₦1 billion within 21 days of its release.
