Summary
Nigerian gospel single Timileyin Ajayi has been caught with the severed head of his girlfriend after he murdered her. Following the brutal murder, the police in Nasarawa state arrested him.
Nigerian gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi has been caught with his girlfriend’s severed head. He was seen at a church in Agwan Sarki Orozo, Nasarawa state, near Abuja, on Sunday 19th of January 2025.
According to Legit, an intelligence tip-off led security agents to an uncompleted building in the area; he was seen carrying a black nylon, with flies following him and the bag, drawing suspicion.
In the video, he was questioned by police in which he was seen disclosing that he had dated the lady for one year before murdering her.
While he was interrogated, he confessed to the crime and exposed that the rest of the victim’s body was still at his residence.
Comrade Abwami Nuhuson Daniel, Secretary of Orozo Community, confirmed the incident on his Facebook page, where he wrote:
“I got the shock of my life as we apprehend a ‘Yahoo’ ritual with a human head (his girlfriend) inside a nylon in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, FCT. I thought I just used to watch things like this until I experienced one ‘live’ today in my community. And this guy said the remaining body of the girl is still in his house. God have mercy on this generation.”
The incident has sparked a lot of shock and anger across social media platforms. One X user, @calissii, commented,
“She didn’t engage in hookups. She didn’t chase after wealthy men. She carried herself with dignity and didn’t dress provocatively. She chose to be with a man who identified as a Gospel artist, someone who should have upheld values of kindness and respect. Yet, despite all this, she was brutally killed by him.
I’ll be in the comments waiting for those who will twist the narrative or try to justify the unjustifiable. May God judge and punish anyone who condones or excuses this kind of evil.”
“Nowhere is safe for a woman, not the society, not your boyfriend, not your husband and not even the son you birthed into the world.”, quoted by an X user @AbikeDeRoyalty.
Femicide continues to be a recurring incidence in Nigeria, with over 100 women murdered by men in their lives in 2024 and many of the incidents reported here by NFM.
