Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has cautioned against forming friendships with people she describes as driven by fame, money, attention and social media engagement.
In a video shared online, Hilda said,
āThe worst kind of people to be friends with are people that are fame hungry, engagement hungry, money hungry and attention hungry. These people will launder your image without caring.ā
She said individuals who are obsessed with fame, money, attention and social media engagement often make poor friends. According to her, such people can damage othersā reputations without caring about the consequences. Hilda Baci also stressed that being around people who are overly focused on personal gain can be harmful, as they may prioritise their own interests over loyalty and genuine relationships.
Hilda Baci rose to international prominence after her record-breaking cookathon earned her recognition from Guinness World Records. In September 2025, her jollof rice attempt in Lagos was also officially recognised, making her a three-time Guinness World Records holder.
