The newly inaugurated Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat. The visit served as the official introduction of the new legislative leadership to the executive council.
The Lagos State Speaker was accompanied by Principal Officers, including Mojeed Fatai (Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1), Temitope Adedeji (Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 1), Richard Kasunmu (Ikeja Constituency 2), Hon. David Setonji (Badagry Constituency 2), and Hon. Sanni Babatunde (Kosofe Constituency 1).
During the visit, Mojisola expressed gratitude to the Governor, Deputy Governor, and Lagosians for their trust and warm reception. She reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to fostering inclusive, just, and collaborative legislation to achieve the vision of a Greater Lagos.
The Speaker and her team also pledged to maintain a constructive partnership with the executive arm of the government. Both sides emphasised the importance of a harmonious working relationship to ensure Lagos remains a model of excellence in governance.

This meeting follows significant changes within the Lagos State House of Assembly. Mojisola assumed office after her predecessor, Mudashiru Obasa, was impeached over allegations of misconduct and financial misappropriation.
