Nigerian First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, during a Christmas brunch for children in Abuja, urged Nigerians to embrace 2025 with optimism, faith, love, and hard work while emphasising unity, compassion, and the Federal Government’s commitment to improving lives
Nigerian politician and current first lady Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to approach the new year 2025 with optimism, a focus on faith, and a commitment to hard work. She described the year ahead as one of hope, love, and the actualisation of God’s goodness for the nation.
Ms Oluremi delivered this message on Friday during a special Christmas brunch for children at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja. The event, which brought together children from the Abuja Children’s Home and Vine Heritage Home Foundation (VHHF), was part of her annual efforts to spread joy during the festive season.
In a statement signed by her Senior Special Adviser on Media, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady emphasised the essence of Christmas as a season of love, compassion, and unity, urging Nigerians to carry these values into their daily lives.
“Christmas should remind us to love our neighbours and go all out to help others. Next year, let’s make it a year of love and a cleaner, greener Nigeria,” she said.
Ms Olufemi reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians, pledging renewed efforts in the coming year.
The children participated in a national anthem contest, and the winners received cash prizes. All attendees were treated to gifts, food, and drinks.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; the wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abass; the wife of the Deputy Senate President, Hajia Laila Barau; and the wives of National Assembly members, ministers, and top government officials.
Ms Oluremi concluded her message with a hopeful outlook for the new year, encouraging Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith, and unity, and pursuing a brighter future.
