Two years ago, Naija Feminists Media was born with one bold promise: to put women’s stories, voices, and rights at the centre of the conversation, not just a mere mention. In these 24 months, we have been showing up, speaking up, and turning up. We’ve incorporated that promise into panel rooms, radio conversations, X spaces, and relevant public communications across Nigeria. From calling out the gaps in how women are represented in the government to openly confronting under-discussed women’s health issues, down to advocating for women’s digital rights. We’ve been there with our cameras, our pens, and our people documenting the moments that matter.
As we celebrate our 2nd anniversary, we bring proof that our advocacy has been loud and still continues. Here are some of the events we’ve covered in commitment to our mission:
- NFM 2025 Editorial Fellowship Trains African Media Professionals on Feminist Journalism

Naija Feminists Media (NFM) held its inaugural Editorial Fellowship training on October 21, 2025, bringing together 16 media professionals from Nigeria, Canada, Sierra Leone, and South Africa. The programme, held as part of the 2025 #16DaysOfActivism campaign against gender-based violence, aims to promote feminist journalism and strengthen gender-inclusive reporting across Africa.
- NFM X Space on Digital Rights: Experts Call for Stricter Accountability Measures

Naija Feminists Media (NFM) hosted an X Space titled “Defending Digital Rights and Resisting Online Censorship” on Friday, March 20, 2026, as part of activities marking the World Day Against Cyber Censorship. The X Space had over 130 listeners who actively participated in the discussion. The World Day Against Cyber Censorship raises awareness about government-imposed restrictions, censorship, and violations of digital rights while encouraging global action to protect freedom of expression online.
- Give to Gain: Project Alert Launches Publications to Address GBV in Nigeria

In commemoration of the 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD), Project Alert on Violence Against Women launches four publications that reveal the systematic abuse against women and provide improved prevention strategies and institutional responses against this violence. Naija Feminists Media covered and documented the book presentation, highlighting the work women-led organisations in the ecosystem engage in to protect women’s rights.
- The Mum Bridge Circle Creates Safe Space for Mothers with Disabilities in Lagos

Mothers with disabilities gathered at the LCCI Conference & Exhibition Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, on May 14, 2026, for The Mum Bridge’s Listening Circle. The Mum Bridge is a growing community for mothers with disabilities in Nigeria. The organisation is focused on providing emotional support and access to resources for women navigating motherhood and disability. Ensuring women with disabilities’ voices are amplified in the media, Naija Feminists Media covered and documented the engagement, and connected the organisation with sister companies to support their mission.
- NFM X Space: Stakeholders Call for Structural Reform Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Naija Feminists Media (NFM) hosted an X Space discussion titled “Beyond Running: Increasing Women’s Political Representation in the 2027 General Election.” The webinar, attended by over 200 participants, brought together advocates and youth leaders to examine the barriers limiting women’s meaningful participation in Nigerian politics and advocated for increased representation.
- NFM Hosts X Space on Endometriosis, Spotlighting Diagnosis Gaps and Paths to Care

Naija Feminists Media hosted its first X Space of the year on January 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. WAT. The conversation, titled “Endometriosis in Nigeria: Understanding the Impact, Diagnosis Gaps, and Paths to Care,” raised awareness about women’s reproductive health and challenged silence around chronic illnesses affecting women. With over 150 listeners across three countries- South Africa, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe- it also highlighted the interconnection of women’s health experiences across borders.
