Summary: Senator Oluremi Tinubu joined over 40 global First Ladies at a White House summit hosted by Melania Trump to discuss education, AI, and collaborative strategies for improving the future of children worldwide.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, attended the “Fostering the Future Together” Summit hosted by Melania Trump at the White House. The high-level event, held on March 25, 2026, brought together over 40 First Ladies in what has been described as the largest international gathering of its kind hosted by a U.S. First Lady in a single day.
The summit focused on expanding access to educational tools, protecting children in digital environments, and strengthening global collaboration on youth development. Participants also explored strategies around education, child protection, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
In her remarks, Melania Trump called for stronger global partnerships to equip young people with the skills needed in a rapidly evolving world, urging countries to promote research, host regional engagements, and foster cross-border collaboration.
A major highlight of the event was the introduction of an American-made humanoid system, Figure 3, marking the first time such technology has been formally presented to international leaders in a diplomatic setting at the White House. Melania noted that artificial intelligence could reshape global systems and emphasised the need to prepare children for a tech-driven future.
Officials from countries including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco also presented national strategies for integrating technology into education systems. Representatives from major technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI participated in discussions, with sessions covering AI in education, digital literacy, edtech tools, and online safety.
The summit is part of the “Fostering the Future Together” initiative, launched at the United Nations General Assembly, aimed at ensuring children worldwide can thrive in the digital age.
