Super Falcons forward Omorinsola Babajide has completed a two-year move to the Italian Serie A Women’s Club AS Roma.
The star winger joins the Italian giants as a free agent following her departure from Spanish side UD Tenerife in May 2024. Roma announced the signing on July 14, 2025, confirming her arrival ahead of the upcoming season.
“Happy to finally announce that I’ve signed for AS Roma. Back in red and ready for this incredible new chapter,” Omorinsola shared on X, expressing excitement for the new chapter, gratitude to God, and appreciation for her mother’s support.
She will wear jersey number 30 at her new club and becomes the second Nigerian player at AS Roma, joining fellow Super Falcons teammate Shukurat Oladipo.

Born in London, Omorinsola began her professional career in England with stints at Millwall, Watford, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion between 2015 and 2022. She later moved to Spain, where she played for Real Betis and UDG Tenerife. During her two seasons at Tenerife, she made 56 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists. Her 2024/25 campaign was especially productive, with 10 goals and five assists in 26 matches.
Before committing to Nigeria in 2023, Omorinsola represented England at the youth level between 2015 and 2019. Her move to AS Roma marks another step forward in her flourishing international career.
