FIFA announced the groundbreaking performance on June 9, 2025, revealing that Tems will be joined on stage by Colombian reggaeton icon J Balvin and genre-bending American star Doja Cat. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will curate the show, which will be produced by the international advocacy organisation Global Citizen. The show promises a spectacular fusion of music, culture, and sport.

Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, continues to rise as a global force. She is renowned for her unique sound that blends Afrobeats, R&B, and soul. She was recently honoured with the Diamond Award at Billboard’s inaugural Global Power Players Event in London and has topped global charts with collaborations featuring artists like Drake, Future, and Wizkid.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will host 32 club teams worldwide and will be played across 12 stadiums in 11 cities throughout the United States. The tournament kicks off on June 14, 2025, culminating in the showdown on July 13.
