About Naija Feminists Media (NFM)

Naija Feminists Media is a leading media organisation working at the intersection of journalism and women’s rights. NFM produce knowledge products–Feminist News, Free Women’s (FM) Vodcast, Women’s Art, and NFM Films–that demystify Nigeria’s misogynistic and patriarchal culture, rework the stereotype that gender equality is un-African and unnecessary, and highlight Nigerian women’s perspectives on global gender issues.

About the role

NFM seeks a Volunteer Writer to join its team and contribute to its storytelling and digital presence.

Job description

  • Research and write articles, news reports, features, and opinion pieces on gender, women’s rights, and social issues.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from credible sources
  • Support communications for NFM’s digital platforms and publications.
  • Stay informed about current events and issues relevant to women’s rights and gender equality.

Key requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Excellent command of written English.
  • Interest in journalism, media, women’s rights, and social justice.
  • Passion for gender equality.
