  1. Habibat Salawudeen Ihiovi-Jack Completes Bible Reading Marathon in GWR Attempt

Nigerian woman Habibat Salawudeen Ihiovi-Jack has completed a 144-hour Bible reading marathon in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in a bid to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest marathon reading of the Holy Book. Her feat comes amid a growing wave of Guinness World Record attempts by Nigerian women across different fields including cooking, fashion, beauty, arts, and endurance challenges. 

  1. UPYOUWOMEN Conference 2026 Returns to Align Women for Purpose, Impact and Future

The highly anticipated UPYOUWOMEN Conference 2026 is scheduled to take place from Friday, August 28 to Saturday 29, 2026, at the MUSON Centre, Lagos. The conference will bring together women from across Africa, under this year’s theme, ALIGNED: Positioned for Purpose and Impact. During the two-day conference, participants will engage with industry experts, global leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to create a place where purpose meets action. 

  1. Nigeria First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Commissions Health Clinic, Academy, Launches Food Bank

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has officially commissioned a new health clinic and academy on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Hadejia, Jigawa State. She also launched a food bank to tackle food insecurity and malnutrition in the state. The clinic is named Oluremi Tinubu Clinic in honour of the First Lady’s commitment to underserved communities. The academy is named the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy, designated to empower youths with digital and technology education.

  1. Abdullahi Ishaka Brutally Assaults Child’s Teacher Mariam Usman

Maryam Usman, a 30-year-old teacher at Brains Minds Nursery and Primary School in Ugbamaka, Okpo District, Kogi State, has reportedly died after she was brutally assaulted by Abdullahi Ishaka, the father of a pupil she disciplined. The teacher sustained severe injuries and was initially treated at a hospital in Ugbamaka before her condition worsened. 

  1. 16-year-old Osasere Okundaye Becomes Nigeria’s Youngest Chartered Accountant

Osasere Okundaye, a 16-year-old teenager, has qualified as a chartered accountant through the Institute of Chartered  Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), drawing commendation from the Federal Government. Her feat was announced by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, on Monday, June 29, 2026.
