Nigerian singer Chimamanda Chukwuma, popularly known as Qing Madi, has accused her former record label, JTOn Music, of deliberately removing her song from Spotify. She made the allegation via her Instagram Story on April 21, 2026, claiming the move was part of ongoing efforts to frustrate her career.
Qing Madi said her song “Pepper Me,” featuring Zinoleesky and KFMD, was taken down after a strong performance on the platform. She also claimed the label had previously filed a $1 million lawsuit against her, which she said it lost.
In her posts, the singer drew comparisons to Cynthia Morgan’s past industry struggles, claiming a similar pattern of treatment.
“Lol, my ex-label, the same people that tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan, are trying to do the same to me,” she wrote, adding that she had chosen to remain silent until now while focusing on her music.
Qing Madi insisted she would resolve the issue, assuring fans that the song would return to streaming platforms. She also publicly called on the label to leave her alone, stating that she simply wants to continue making music. The singer said she would not be silenced, sparking reactions online as fans rallied in her support.
Qing Madi gained prominence as a teenager with her breakout single “Ole,” following the viral success of “See Finish,” with both tracks charting on Apple Music and establishing her as a rising voice in Afrobeats.
